Niaogho Community Unites to Inaugurate Gendarmerie Brigade’s Perimeter Wall

Boulgou: The Minister of Security, Divisional Police Commissioner Mahamoudou Sana, presided over the inauguration ceremony for the perimeter wall of the territorial gendarmerie brigade in the commune of Niaogho, Boulgou province. The project was completed thanks to the mobilization of local residents, members of the diaspora, traditional authorities, and community leaders.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Minister of Security praised this citizen initiative, presenting it as a model of solidarity and patriotism. The ceremony saw participation from administrative, traditional, and military authorities, alongside a significant presence of local residents. His Majesty Naaba Wobgho II commenced the event with blessings for peace, social cohesion, security, and the development of Niaogho, expressing gratitude to the Minister for his presence.

Comrade Ibrahim Compaore, chairman of the monitoring committee, and Comrade Souleymane Compaore, representing the Niaogho diaspora in Italy, commended the leadership of customary and administrative authorities. They highlighted their awareness campaigns that united the community around this project and thanked all donors, hoping that this initiative would inspire further development projects.

Minister Mahamoudou Sana expressed his gratitude to the people of Niaogho for their commitment, paying tribute to Naaba Wobgho II and all contributors. He emphasized the importance of unity in building Burkina Faso and urged other municipalities to emulate Niaogho's example. He also acknowledged the efforts of the Defense and Security Forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland, noting that the community's contribution is a testament to their support for securing the country.

The minister underscored the significance of peace, unity, social cohesion, and communal living, urging the community to sustain these values. He concluded with a reference to Captain Thomas Sankara, stressing that collective commitment is foundational to the freedom, security, and sovereignty of Burkina Faso.
