Ouagadougou: The CSPS 2, upgraded to a Medical Center, opens to the public with a day of free healthcare. Karim Sana, President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Niaogho municipality, presided over the open house at the Niaogho CSPS 2, recently upgraded to a medical center, on Saturday. The facility offered a range of completely free healthcare services to the local population.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event mobilized a multidisciplinary team of doctors and nurses to meet the health needs of users. The care package offered was particularly comprehensive: screenings for precancerous lesions of the cervix and breast cancer, tests for diabetes, hepatitis, syphilis, and HIV/AIDS. Specialist consultations in ophthalmology, pediatrics, and mental health were also provided free of charge.

Present at the ceremony, His Majesty Naaba Wobgho II gave his blessings and congratulated the organizing committee and partners on the success of the initiative. The guardian of tradition wished good health to all his subjects.

The PDS of Niaogho, Karim Sana, praised the leadership of the organizing team led by the central region's major, Karim Belem. He expressed his gratitude to the various partners, particularly the Kiaka SA mine, the official sponsor of the event. While welcoming the participants, the head of the commune thanked Naaba Wobgho II for his availability and constant support.

This open day marks a major turning point for the now Niaogho Medical Centre, which is bringing specialized and quality care closer to rural populations. The beneficiaries expressed their satisfaction with all the services offered free of charge.
