Niaogho Special Delegation Approves 2026 Budget Exceeding 213 Million FCFA

Niaogho: The first ordinary session of 2026 of the special delegation has successfully adopted a budget of over 213 million FCFA. The session, held on April 2 and 3, 2026, was presided over by Karim Sana, the president of the special delegation.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the session commenced with Sana welcoming the participants and officially opening the proceedings. The first day's agenda included reviewing and adopting the report from the previous session, which was read and amended by the members. Attendees also engaged in a presentation on solar energy by Florent Nian from the National Agency for Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency (ANEREE), followed by a discussion on the topic.

The councilors proceeded with the examination of the amended budget no. 1, which spanned into the second day of discussions. The budget, encompassing both revenue and expenditure, was eventually adopted, amounting to 213,503,911 FCFA.

During the session, Sana outlined the municipality's key intervention priorities. These projects include the construction of 15 shops, establishment of a livestock market, a new water tower at the inn, and the development of an office and laboratory for the medical center. Additional plans feature acquiring beds and mattresses for patients, marking public infrastructure areas, and enhancing rolling stock.

The session also facilitated discussions on suggestions from participants, notably the proposal to construct a women's center.
