Niger inaugurates a higher school of gas and oil

Ouagadougou: The Nigerien authorities have inaugurated the National School of Oil and Gas (ENPG) attached to the André Salifou University in Zinder.

The Minister of Higher Education, Research and Technological Innovation, Pr. Mamadou Saidou, preceded on May 17, the inauguration of the brand new National School of Oil and Gas in the presence of the Secretary General from the governorate of Zinder, rectoral authorities, officials of the Defense and Security Forces and students.

The new school is responsible, among other things, for ensuring professional license and professional master level training, as well as the development and retraining of engineers and technicians in the oil sector, Minister Saidou explained a month ago.

The inauguration of the establishment comes at a time when Niger’s daily crude oil production increased from 20,000 barrels to 110,000 barrels.

This production is already being sold on the international market through a pipeline passing through Benin.
