Nine Students Honored in Bourasso for Excellence in Local Consumption Competition

Bourasso: The Head of Basic Education District (CCEB), Maliki Sidibe, awarded prizes to nine outstanding students from the CEB of Bourasso on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. These students were recognized for their participation in a competition centered on local consumption, marking the conclusion of the national days of patriotic commitment and civic participation (JEPPC).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the competition commenced with the raising of the national colors at Bourasso 'B' school. The event aimed to engage students in learning about and developing an interest in local consumption. Maliki Sidibe emphasized that this initiative was a key component of the JEPPC's closing activities.

Students from grades 3, 4, and 5 took part in a writing competition that focused on the theme: "The hardworking people of our country bring various high-quality products to market. List those you know and explain what we can do to help them develop further." The competition culminated in the selection of the top three submissions from each class for recognition.

In the CE2 class, Martial Traore from Bourasso 'B' school secured the first position. Awa Ira from Bourasso 'A' school achieved the top rank in the CM1 class, while Yezoumahan Ad¨le Kiawara, also from Bourasso 'A' school, was awarded first place in the CM2 class.

The top performers were rewarded with school essentials, including school bags, notebooks, pens, and academies, tailored to the rank achieved by each winner.
