Nobéré: A Road Accident Leaves Two Injured

Nobéré: A collision that occurred on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, on National Road No. 5 (RN5) in Nobéré, between a semi-trailer truck, a light vehicle, and a motorcycle, resulted in two injuries, AIB learned from local sources.According to Burkina Information Agency, the accident took place in the center of the Nobéré district. It involved a semi-trailer truck coming from Ghana and a car traveling from Ouagadougou to Pô. Eyewitness accounts suggest that a front tire blowout on the car was likely the cause of the crash. The driver lost control of his vehicle, leading to a head-on collision with the truck. The car then struck a motorcyclist carrying a passenger during its uncontrolled trajectory.Local residents immediately responded by rushing to the scene to provide first aid to the trapped driver. They managed to force open the car doors and free him before emergency services arrived.Reports indicate that two people were injured, including the car's driver, who is in serious condition. After receiving emergency care, he was evacuated to the Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA) in Pô, as requested by his relatives.District Police Commissioner of Nobéré, Serge Arnaud Tassembédo, arrived at the scene with his officers to conduct investigations and manage traffic. His presence also served to raise awareness among residents and road users about the importance of adhering to the highway code and safety rules.Commissioner Tassembédo emphasized the necessity of constant vigilance while driving and urged regular vehicle inspections to prevent accidents.Pierre Kafando, the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Nobéré, was also present at the accident site to assess the situation and offer support to the victims.
