Noumbiel: Administrative, military, paramilitary, religious, and traditional authorities of Noumbiel Province commemorated the second anniversary of the Confederation of Sahel States (CSA) on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the provincial headquarters of the Water and Forestry Department, with a solemn flag-raising ceremony. The province's High Commissioner, Drissa H©ma, called for drawing inspiration from its ideals for the unity and well-being of the people.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the celebration marked the second year of the Confederation of Sahel States in Noumbiel, with a ceremony dedicated to raising the national colors in Bati©. This event was part of a broader commemoration taking place across various provinces.

The Director of Water and Forests, Commander Athanase Didier Bamouni, encouraged citizens to engage with the presidential initiative "My concession, my tree," urging every eco-citizen to plant a tree that serves their needs. This initiative is seen as a step towards sustainable environmental practices within the province.

During the event, Drissa H©ma conveyed a message from Captain Ibrahim Traor©, President of Faso, Head of State, and President of the Confederation of Sahel States, to the people of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger. The message underscored the importance of unity and collaboration among the member states.

In his closing remarks, the High Commissioner praised the resilience of the people in the province and paid tribute to the defense and security forces, as well as the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland. He emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between the population and the defense and security forces through the sharing of information.
