Noumbiel: The provincial director of Water and Forests of Noumbiel, Athanase Didier Bamouni, chaired a session in Midebdo dedicated to assessing the third quarter and enhancing the capacity of agents regarding legal actions related to forest and environmental police, as well as the drafting of reports.
According to Burkina Information Agency, after presenting a quarterly report, which Mr. Bamouni found satisfactory, participants attended a capacity-building workshop. The session was led by the first Deputy Public Prosecutor of the High Court of Gaoua, Seydou OUEDRAOGO. The training focused on legal proceedings in forest and environmental police matters, the specific missions of agents with the status of judicial police officers, and the drafting of detailed reports.
The discussions included questions for clarification, contributions, and the sharing of experiences among the participants. The provincial director commended the agents for their efforts and urged them to maintain vigilance in their commitment to environmental protection.
The Noumbiel Provincial Directorate of Water and Forests manages a significant forest reserve, including the Koulbi classified forest, which spans over 40,000 hectares.
