Kaya: A delegation from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and its institutions visited an internally displaced persons camp in Kaya, Burkina Faso. The high-level delegation from the OIC, during their visit to Burkina Faso, inspected the Women's Empowerment Project funded by the OIC through the Islamic Solidarity Fund in 2023.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the delegation was briefed on the impact of the project, which has enabled beneficiaries to engage in income-generating activities within the displacement sites. This initiative is supported by capacity-building programs and practical tools provided by the OIC. The concerned parties and local authorities expressed their appreciation for these efforts.

The delegation also assessed the humanitarian needs of the displaced individuals and confirmed their commitment to mobilizing further aid for those affected in Kaya.
