Ouagadougou: The Saint Marius A and B Catholic primary schools in Ouahigouya organized a day of excellence to celebrate the students and teachers who distinguished themselves during the school year, AIB observed on site.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this day of tribute and recognition was presided over by the chief of staff of the president of the special delegation of Ouahigouya, Ther¨se Sougouri/Ouedraogo, in the presence of the educational authorities of Yaadga. The municipal authority recognized the quality of education provided to students at the Saint Marius schools, which resulted in a 100% pass rate on the 2026 CEP exam, with all 130 students passing, including students with disabilities.

Evariste Taonsa, spokesperson for the Saint Marius A and B school councils, congratulated all those who supported the school initiatives that led to these excellent results in all grades, and particularly in the final year of primary school (CM2). "We thank the teachers of both schools, the support staff, the teaching staff, and all the students for their individual efforts. We also reiterate our gratitude to the parents for their willingness to support the school councils in this new endeavor," he stated.

The most deserving students from both schools received cash and in-kind gifts as a reward for their dedication to their studies. Certificates of recognition were also awarded to certain individuals involved in the life of these schools. Like Jalil Zebret from Saint Marius B school, the student recipients thanked their teachers and parents for the gifts and promised to always work hard in class.

A thanksgiving mass celebrated by Father Francis Garba opened the activities of this day of excellence on Monday, June 29, which also marked the closing of the school year's activities.
