Oudalan/OSCLEP 2026: Deiberie School Crowned Football Champion Against Gorom Nord A

Gorom-gorom: The Deiberie school clinched the football championship title in the 2026 edition of the Organization of Sport, Culture and Recreation in Primary School (OSCLEP) for the Basic Education District (CEB) of Gorom-Gorom I. On Saturday, they secured a 1-0 victory over Gorom Nord A school on the provincial field of Gorom-Gorom.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the decisive goal was netted in the first half by Deiberie school. Gorom Nord A made several attempts to level the score in the second half, but Deiberie's defense held firm until the final whistle, concluding the match in a lively atmosphere.

The Head of the Gorom-Gorom I Basic Education District (CCEB), Djiguimd© W. Emmille, highlighted the role of sport and culture in education. He praised the quality of the matches and the spirit of fair play throughout the competition.

The CCEB extended thanks to the president of the special delegation of the commune of Gorom-Gorom, Sibiri Neya, and other dignitaries, including godmother Fati W. Wiridjofette, godfather Rabo Abdoulaye, co-godfather Maouibadan Patrice N©bi©, and the organizing committee, for their support in making the event successful.

The event concluded with an awards presentation. Deiberie school received 75,000 CFA francs, a ball, and a set of jerseys as the champion. Gorom Nord A, as the runner-up, received 45,000 CFA francs, a ball, and jerseys. Gorom Centre B, finishing third, was awarded 30,000 CFA francs and a ball, while the Franco-Arab Daroul Fougan school, in fourth, received 10,000 CFA francs and a ball.

Recognition was also given to the best groups in cultural activities.
