Several participants paid their taxes, including the residence tax and the motor vehicle tax, setting an example of active tax compliance in the province. The p rovincial director of taxes, Wendata Hyacinthe Herman Sédogo, emphasized the importance of taxes in community life. He explained that paying taxes is not merely a legal obligation, but also an act of national solidarity, as tax revenues help finance the construction of infrastructure such as schools, health centers, and public services.Mr. Sédogo thus called on administrative officials and various structures to embody this duty by becoming relays of fiscal civic responsibility within their communities. Traditional and religious authorities welcomed this initiative, stressing that paying one's taxes is tantamount to actively participating in the building and sovereignty of the Nation. The prosecutor of Faso at the High Court (TGI) of Yako, Lamine Kaboré, took the opportunity to raise awareness about the law of January 14, 2026, known as "Faso Boukaoré", which aims to strengthen the role of traditional bodies in the settlement of civil disputes, thus reflecting a desire to bring justice closer to the people. The High Commissioner of Passoré, Daouda Sangaré, praised the mobilization of the participants and encouraged the people to maintain this momentum of civic engagement.
