Sourou: The Patriotic Movement for the Development of Sourou (MPDS) undertook a cleanup operation at the Tougan Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA) on Saturday, August 16, 2025. The initiative was aimed at supporting the healthcare facilities in the area.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of MPDS, Issouf Djibo, stated that the activity was part of the movement’s efforts to enhance the quality of healthcare services provided in Tougan. Djibo emphasized the importance of choosing the medical center with a surgical unit as a focal point to bolster healthcare services in the city.
Djibo expressed satisfaction with the turnout of participants and encouraged them to maintain their enthusiasm for future endeavors. He underscored the necessity of ongoing community involvement to sustain such initiatives.
Bassirou Ou©draogo, a doctor at the CMA in Tougan and a representative of the District Chief Medical Officer, J©r´me Nikiema, acknowledged the significance of the MPDS’s efforts. He noted that maintaining hygiene is crucial for the health of the population and that activities like this, combined with weeding, contribute to the prevention of diseases such as malaria and dengue fever.
