Ouagadougou: The AS Poste trio won the trophy of the 1st edition of the Futur Vision association club competition in Ouagadougou on Sunday, September 13, 2026, beating the Benkadi club trio by a score of 9 to 7, in a hard-fought final.According to Burkina Information Agency, the trio from the AS Poste club, who took the lion's share, received medals, a trophy, and an envelope of 100,000 CFA francs, leaving their challenger with medals and a sum of 65,000 CFA francs. Medals and certificates of recognition were awarded to individuals who supported the initiative.Placed under the theme "Honor to the callers of the patriotic immersion of the Stallions of boules," this 1st edition brought together 110 triplets from various clubs of Ouagadougou, Mogtedo, Zotgho, and Kaya, Koulweoghin in sector 18 of district 4 of Ouagadougou. Before the competition, the Stallions bowlers took part in the patriotic immersion from July 12 to 26 organized by the Ministry of Sports, Youth, and Employment for all disciplines of the Stallions as part of the promotion of civic, patriotic values, and social cohesion within sporting youth.The promoter of the competition and president of the association club Futur, Christian T. Konkounzindo, stated that it was the result of the immersion that he wanted to organize this competition to share social values with lovers of petanque. He expressed understanding of President Ibrahim Traor's vision and shared the idea with their association to organize a petanque competition to honor the immersed boules players and invite Burkinabe youth to voluntarily participate in patriotic immersion.For the guest of honor at this competition, the Director of the National Service for Development (SND) Training Center, Captain Daouda Dao, the bowlers were part of the 2nd wave of the patriotic immersion of the Ministry of Sports.
