Yatenga: Pierre Claver Bance was officially installed on Thursday, December 18, as the new High Commissioner of Yatenga Province by the Secretary General of the Yaadga Region, Kouilga Albert Zongo, AIB observed.
According to Burkina Information Agency, at the start of the ceremony, Ali Camara, representing the heads of administrative districts (CCA) of Yatenga Province and also serving as Prefect and President of the Special Delegation of Seguenega, praised the three-year record of outgoing High Commissioner Tassere Nacoulma before congratulating him on his appointment as Secretary General of the Nakambe Region. The CCA promised the new head of the province, Pierre Claver Bance, to work in synergy under his command in order to promote the endogenous development of Yatenga.
'Mr. Pierre Claver Bance, on behalf of the Minister of Territorial Administration and Mobility, the Governor of Yaadga, and by virtue of the powers vested in me, I hereby officially install you today, Thursday, December 18, 2025, in your position as High Commissioner of the Yatenga Province, with my best wishes and encouragement.' It was with this traditional formula that the Secretary General of the Yaadga Province, Kouilga Albert Zongo, granted Mr. Bance full authority to administer the territorial community.
In his post-installation speech, Mr. Bance thanked his superiors for the confidence placed in him by elevating him to this level of responsibility. "My key words will be listening, consultation par excellence for a synergy of actions, the spirit of the principles of legality will be the fundamentals of our joint action. I call on the solidarity and commitment of all to meet the development challenges of our province," Mr. Bance stated to the constituted bodies of the Yatenga province.
It was a solemn handover ceremony which took place in the town hall of Ouahigouya in the presence of the constituted bodies of the Yatenga province, actors of civil society, citizen watch, development partners of the territorial community, and several resource persons, friends, and acquaintances of the new authority.
