The promoter of the 72-hour Music Festival in Gaoua, Harouna Oudraogo, known by his stage name Djinamori, explained that the activity was initiated to celebrate music locally and promote regional artists. The event, initially planned for June, was postponed to July with support from the municipality due to organizational constraints.
Over the three days of festivities, several live musical performances by local artists and groups are scheduled for the benefit of the local population. The promoter invited residents of Gaoua and nearby areas to attend and support the artists, contributing to the success of this cultural celebration.
He also called for more support from cultural promoters, partners, and well-wishers to address the challenges in mobilizing financial resources needed for organizing these events. Harouna Oudraogo expressed gratitude to the special delegation of the municipality of Gaoua, technical partners, and the media for their support.
The Gaoua Music Festival aims to serve as a platform for promoting local talent and strengthening the town's cultural identity through shows open to the general public.
