Pouytenga:Health workers in the Pouytenga health district participated in a training session focused on managing healthcare services under the Universal Health Insurance Scheme (RAMU).
According to Burkina Information Agency, the training aimed to enhance the skills of staff from 30 health facilities within the district. The session sought to improve their understanding of procedures for caring for insured individuals and to streamline the application of RAMU provisions in health facilities.
Participants received information on the healthcare package, procedural and product frameworks, and conditions for insured person coverage. They also learned about the healthcare benefits management module of the Integrated RAMU Management System (SIGRAMU) and its connection with the Individual Digital Invoice for Free Healthcare (FIS).
Dr. Ars¨ne Kabor© Camarade, the chief medical officer of the Medical Center with surgical unit in Pouytenga, emphasized the importance of the initiative. He stated that the training would help health workers master essential tools and procedures for RAMU's application, ensuring uniformity in receiving insured patients.
Dr. Kabor© noted that discussions included eligibility conditions for insured persons, their validity verification, and benefit provision procedures. He stressed that each participant should disseminate the gained knowledge to colleagues, promoting consistent and rule-compliant patient reception throughout the district.
The session is expected to improve understanding of RAMU procedures among health workers, leading to better care for beneficiaries in Pouytenga's health facilities.
