Ouagadougou: The prefect delivers the President of Burkina Faso's message to the people at the launch of the JEPPC: The hill in front of the Dissihn prefecture served as the setting for the launch of the first two weeks of the 2026 National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Civic Participation (JEPPC). This ceremony brought together various constituted bodies, religious leaders, civil society organizations (CSOs), and the people of Dissihn, who came to demonstrate their commitment to republican values through this solemn raising of the national flag.
According to Burkina Information Agency, following the raising of the flag, the prefect, president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Dissihn, Benjamin Nana, delivered the message from Captain Ibrahim Traor©, President of Faso, on the occasion of the launch of the JEPPC, 3rd edition.
In this message, the people of Dissihn understand that the President of Burkina Faso is calling on Burkinabe citizens to change their attitudes, diet, clothing, and business practices. He wants them to be like the well-behaved child who only enjoys their mother's cakes.
For the people of Dissihn, President Ibrahim Traor©'s slogan, "My plate, my pride," is the heart of the message. For the Burkinabe head of state, Burkinabe hands are not meant to beg for and applaud products from elsewhere, but to produce, build, and transform.
According to an agricultural Volunteer for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), this message is full of meaning and calls on every Burkinabe to commit firmly in the field in which they intervene for a radiant Burkina Faso.
Other activities are planned to highlight the slogan "Let's produce Burkinabe, let's consume Burkinabe" until April 9, 2026.
