Banwa: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Zambo launched, this Thursday, March 26, the 3rd edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC) through a ceremony of raising the national colors, marked by a call for the consumption of local products.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was themed "Food sovereignty and economic patriotism: together, let us cultivate our dignity through local production and consumption." Held at the town hall, the launch was attended by administrative authorities, defense and security forces, as well as the vital forces of the municipality.
During the ceremony, PDS Tass©r© Badini conveyed a message from the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, urging the populace to be mindful of their reliance on imported goods. The Head of State emphasized the importance of local consumption with the slogan, "My plate, my pride," and encouraged citizens to combat food dependency.
PDS Tass©r© Badini echoed this sentiment by urging Zambo's residents to integrate local products into their daily meals, stating, "I urge each of you to consume the products from our fields and gardens."
The 3rd edition of the JEPPC, running from March 26 to April 9, 2026, will include activities designed to promote civic engagement and economic patriotism. The prefect expressed gratitude to the supporting institutions for their contributions.
