Banfora:The principal of the primary school in Tiontiomana, a village associated with the commune of Banfora and located around thirty kilometers from the city, was found dead by hanging on the school premises on Monday, October 5, 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the principal had left his home in the morning to go to school, leaving his mobile phones behind.

Later, parents of students reportedly discovered the principal's body in the schoolyard. Upon being alerted, the police arrived at the scene to conduct the necessary investigations and formalities.

The principal's body was subsequently buried in the village of Tiontiomana. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still unknown at this time.
