Bobo-dioulasso: Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo officially inaugurated the Bobo-Dioulasso Regional Vocational Training Center, marking a significant step in transforming the Burkinabe education system. This initiative aligns with the vision of President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, to reform education in Burkina Faso.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the opening of the center, emphasizing the importance of providing young people with alternatives to combat unemployment and idleness. He stated that while the opening of the center is a significant step, efforts will continue to ensure access to vocational training across all regions of the country.
The vocational center, which spans one hectare, is equipped with 14 classrooms and offers training in various trades, including masonry, plumbing, building electricity, auto mechanics, and carpentry. The Prime Minister, accompanied by government and regional officials, toured the facility, signed the guest book, and planted a mango tree on the center’s grounds as a symbolic gesture.
The inauguration ceremony featured the presence of Dr. Boubakar Savadogo, Minister of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training, who urged the Governor of the Guiriko region, Mariama Konat©/Gnanou, to ensure the center serves as an exemplary model for other regions. Governor Mariama Konat©/Gnanou welcomed the Prime Minister and his delegation to Bobo-Dioulasso, expressing hope for the success of their endeavors in the city.
