Ouagadougou: Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo received ministers responsible for youth from the Confederation of Sahel States in Ouagadougou. The meeting focused on the challenges facing the youth within the confederation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ministers from Mali, Abdoul Kassim Ibrahim Fomba, and Niger, Sidi Mohamed, visited the Burkinabe capital following an invitation from their Burkinabe counterpart, Roland Somda. They participated in a panel organized by the "Jeunesse r©veil-toi" Movement, supported by the Burkinabe Ministry of Youth, to discuss the role of young people in the Progressive Popular Revolution.
Prime Minister Ou©draogo underscored the importance of collaboration among the youth ministers to empower young people as part of the ongoing liberation movement led by the AES confederation leaders. He emphasized that youth are vital to the future and urged the ministers to instill patriotism, order, and discipline in young people to help them become solutions for the nation.
Abdoul Kassim Ibrahim Fomba, Mali's Minister of Youth, highlighted the need to reframe the narrative imposed by external influences and encouraged young people to develop their understanding of their heritage and role in national development. Roland Somda, Burkina Faso's Minister of Youth, stressed the importance of transforming educational institutions to harness the potential of the youth as a resource for development.
The visit of the Malian and Nigerien youth ministers to Burkina Faso reflects the collaborative efforts within the Confederation of Sahel States to build a unified and prosperous region.
