Prime Minister Ouedraogo Arrives in Bobo-Dioulasso for SNC 2026

Bobo-dioulasso: Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo arrived in Bobo-Dioulasso for a working visit. Upon arrival at his residence, he was welcomed by the Governor of the Guiriko region, Mariama Konate nee Gnanou, the Minister of Culture, Pingdwende Gilbert Ouedraogo, and several other notable figures from the region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Prime Minister will participate in the 22nd edition of the National Culture Week (SNC), which is scheduled from April 25 to May 2, 2026, in Bobo-Dioulasso. The event will revolve around the theme: "Culture, youth and transmission of social values," under the High Patronage of the President of Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore.

The SNC is a significant cultural event in the country, providing a platform for national creative expression, the promotion of Burkinabe cultural heritage, and the transmission of social and identity markers to the younger generations.

In addition to the SNC activities, the Prime Minister will engage in several institutional, economic, and tourism-related initiatives. These initiatives underscore the Government's commitment to connecting cultural promotion with territorial development and enhancing the potential of the Guiriko region.
