Ouagadougou: The Provincial Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DPEPPNF) of Komondjari, Yatenyoua Lucien Ouoba, has called upon the education stakeholders of the province to reinforce their commitment, solidarity, and creativity for a successful 2026-2027 administrative year.
According to Burkina Information Agency, in a message directed at the heads of basic education districts (CCEB), educational supervisors, school directors, and all collaborators, Ouoba praised the efforts made during the previous school year. He acknowledged the resilience, patriotism, and dedication demonstrated by education stakeholders daily, despite ongoing security and logistical challenges in Komondjari province.
Ouoba emphasized that the administrative start of the academic year is crucial for mobilizing all stakeholders to ensure access to quality education for young learners in the district. The preparatory period, set from September 15 to October 1, 2026, will focus on several priority actions, including the reception, registration, and re-registration of students, with special attention to integrating internally displaced children (IDCs).
Education stakeholders are also tasked with implementing educational logistics, such as distributing textbooks, teaching materials, and food for school canteens across various basic education districts. Prioritizing the security and hygiene of educational establishments and temporary learning spaces is essential to providing schoolchildren with a safe and protective environment from the start of the academic year.
The DPEPPNF highlighted the importance of continuing non-formal education by organizing literacy and learning centers for young people and adults outside the traditional education system. Ouoba stressed that the success of the 2026-2027 school year relies on the commitment and organizational rigor of all involved, urging colleagues to demonstrate professional solidarity, initiative, and creativity to overcome technical challenges.
Finally, Ouoba expressed hope that this administrative start to the academic year marks the beginning of a period characterized by peace, resilience, and educational success across all basic education districts in the province.
