Raising the Colors: Provincial Authorities Instill the Flame of Patriotism in Salogo

The High Commissioner of Ganzourgou province, Aminata Sorgho/Gouba, chaired a flag-raising ceremony at the prefecture of Salogo (about twenty km north of Zorgho), on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 , to mark the start of the school year, AIB noted on site.Traditionally organized on a rotating basis in the provincial services in Zorgho, this ceremony has been extended to the departments, thus allowing each locality to appropriate this symbol of patriotism.In Salogo, the president of the special communal delegation, Roland Ky, welcomed the high commissioner and his delegation and expressed his gratitude to them for this initiative.The High Commissioner welcomed the strong mobilization of the vital forces of Salogo, while recalling the importance of cultivating patriotism, especially among young people. She insisted on the need to banish hatred and strengthen social cohesion.A special tribute was paid to the fighting forces who ensured the security of the nation. She also invited parents to support children in their school career, because, for her, success requires close collaboration between parents, students and teachers. Students were called to discipline, respect teachers and love a job well done.On the sidelines of this ceremony, the High Commissioner met with the active forces of Salogo and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP). These discussions made it possible to gather local concerns, particul arly in terms of education, security and equipment.
