Ramongo/JEPPC 2026: Citizen Vigilance Mobilizes for Clean Schools and Active Patriotism

Ramongo: As part of the National Day of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC), the citizen watch of the municipality of Ramongo marked the event on Tuesday, April 7, with a double initiative combining the promotion of local dishes and the cleanliness of the educational environment within the grounds of the Tanguen A and B public primary schools.

According to Burkina Information Agency, armed with brooms, rakes, and wheelbarrows, members of the community watch group, accompanied by volunteers and education professionals, carried out a complete cleanup of the schoolyard. This action, beyond its environmental aspect, is part of a broader effort to foster collective responsibility and promote civic values.

By improving their living environment, participants are putting into action the economic patriotism advocated by the theme, which calls for national mobilization to enhance local resources and strengthen community autonomy.

For the organizers, maintaining a healthy school environment contributes not only to the well-being of learners, but also to building a civic consciousness focused on local production, preserving community achievements and committing to endogenous development.

'Sovereignty begins with simple but meaningful gestures, like taking care of our schools,' confided a member of the citizen watch group. Another added, 'When the community dances around a dish, everyone should get involved.'

The director of Ramongo-Tanguen "A", Denis Zagr©, visibly pleased, took the floor and expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the activity. He praised it as a highly patriotic act that "strengthens the ties between the school and its community."

According to him, this mobilization proves that the school is not isolated from the village, but is at its heart. This is a powerful testament to the integration of the school into the village and vice versa, forging a strong bond in service of quality, inclusive education within the community.

The activity continued in a friendly atmosphere with a sale of local food, highlighting local products and reflecting once again the cherished wish of the President of Faso, Comrade Captain Ibrahim Traor©, "let's consume what we produce", let's be proud to consume local.

Through this day, the municipality of Ramongo reaffirms its commitment to the ideals of patriotism, solidarity and sustainable development.
