Region du nakambe: Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo met this Friday, October 24, 2025, with the combat forces deployed in the Nakambe region. The meeting was held at Camp General Tiemoko Marc Garango in Tenkodogo. The Head of Government praised the efforts made by the soldiers to secure the territory and protect the population.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the visit allowed the Head of Government to meet with local military authorities as well as with operational units, all corps combined, engaged in the region. At the beginning of his speech, he observed a minute of silence in memory of all the combatants who fell in the various theaters of operation so that Burkina Faso could remain standing.
On behalf of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, the Prime Minister praised the commitment of the men and women in contact with the enemy, their bravery, and their high sense of duty in a demanding security context. “You are the source of pride of the Burkinabe people. Thanks to your commitment, your spirit of sacrifice, your courage and your unwavering determination, people are regaining their dignity by returning to their lands and villages. In many areas, they have been able to resume their agricultural, livestock and trading activities, and can once again come and go. This is why we express our admiration for you,” he declared.
The Head of Government also called on the fighting forces to remain vigilant and to consolidate the gains linked to the unity of the various components of the army, but also to the renewed proximity with the populations. In this dynamic, he engaged and mobilized the troops in these terms: “The time has come to deliver the final blow to the enemy.”
The Prime Minister further reassured that the Government, under the guidance of Captain Ibrahim Traore, will make every effort to ensure, on a daily basis, that the conditions and operational capabilities of the defense and security forces improve, both in terms of numbers and equipment. “We are fully committed, like you, to repel the enemy and liberate the areas to allow our populations to resettle and go about their business, for our country to regain the integrity of its territory, its dignity, its sovereignty and above all to defeat its enemies. Victory is certain, and it is coming soon,” insisted Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo.
This visit illustrates local governance, where political and military authorities work together to build a secure and resilient Burkina Faso.
