Residents Mobilize to Rehabilitate Boni-Dossi Road

Tuy:Residents of the Boni commune gathered on Saturday, October 17, 2026, to work on rehabilitating the approximately five-kilometer road connecting Boni to Dossi. This effort was part of the National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Civic Participation (JEPPC).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was attended by Arouna Tarnagda, president of the Boni municipal special delegation. Local residents contributed equipment such as tractors, dump trucks, and tricycles to assist with the work. The main tasks involved clearing stones and filling holes with earth to improve traffic flow between the villages.

Iliassou Diasso, the seed production manager at the Boni farm, praised the initiative, noting that the road improvements will aid in the transportation of trucks collecting cotton from the Dossi fields. He added that it would also help reduce vehicle breakdowns.

Comrade Tarnagda highlighted the community's enthusiastic response to the call for action, particularly in light of the challenging road conditions during the rainy season. He expressed gratitude for the community's mobilization and the provision of equipment, emphasizing that such solidarity is vital for the municipality's development goals.
