Ouagadougou: The residents of Tovor equip their health center with medical equipment worth 1,000,000: The sons and daughters of Tovor, in the commune of Zambo, donated medical equipment worth one million CFA francs to the local Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) on Saturday, August 16, 2026, in order to contribute to improving the health care provided to the population.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation includes beds, blood pressure monitors, IV fluids, baby scales, and cabinets. It will bolster the equipment available at the health facility.

Jean Jacques Som, the representative of the sons and daughters of Tovor, stated that this initiative follows directives from the authorities encouraging residents to contribute more to the development of their communities. "It is following these directives that the sons and daughters of Tovor decided to establish voluntary contributions to support the public services in their village," he explained.

Som indicated that the CSPS was chosen as the first beneficiary because of the importance of its services for the people of Tovor and the surrounding localities. "We chose to start with the CSPS because its service extends beyond the village of Tovor," he explained.

The major of the CSPS in Tovor, Badiel Dahor, thanked the donors for their gesture and assured that the equipment would be used wisely, in the interest of the people.

The President of the special delegation (PDS) of Zambo, Tassr Badini, welcomed the initiative and encouraged the sons and daughters of other localities in the commune to follow in the footsteps of those of Tovor.

For the initiators, this action should not be limited to the health sector. They also plan, in the coming months, to support the General Education College (CEG) and the Tovor Public Primary School.

The handover ceremony took place in the presence of administrative authorities and a delegation of sons and daughters of Tovor.
