Resilience Cup Final Marks Rally in Support of Burkina Faso President

Bittou: The Resilience Cup final brings to a close the activities of the rally in support of the President of Burkina Faso. Played in the afternoon at the Bittou multipurpose hall, the final pitted Diama Rouge against Commer§ants FC, in an atmosphere marked by a large turnout of people from various parts of the town. After a hard-fought match full of twists and turns, Diama Rouge emerged victorious with a score of 3-2.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the champion team took home a trophy, medals, balls, and a cash prize of 50,000 CFA francs. The Commer§ants FC team, the runners-up, received medals, balls, and 35,000 CFA francs. The initiators of the Resilience Cup aim to create a framework for rapprochement and fraternity among the young people of Bittou, reflecting the commitment of the population to remain united despite the security crisis that the commune has been experiencing since 2023. This initiative is also intended as a message of hope, testifying to the determination of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) to work for the protection of people and property.

The final was attended by the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Bittou, members of the security forces, and numerous supporters. Speaking at the event, the PDS commended the community watch group for its commitment to this unifying initiative. He urged the population to support all actions promoting social cohesion, community spirit, and local development.
