Retiree Donates 100,000 CFA Francs to Faso Mªbo Initiative

Gourma: A retiree donates 100,000 CFA francs to the presidential initiative Faso M¨bo. Retired Silvestre Lankoand©, better known as "Uncle Choco", made a financial contribution of 100,000 CFA francs to the presidential initiative Faso Mªbo, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Fada N'Gourma.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this gesture reflects Silvestre Lankoand©'s desire to support the progress of the Progressive and Popular Revolution (RPP). For him, contributing to Faso Mªbo is a patriotic duty, given the sacrifices made for the emancipation of Burkina Faso.

'I have witnessed two revolutions in Burkina Faso: the revolution of Captain Thomas Isidore Sankara and that of Captain Ibrahim Traor©. People paid with their lives so that the revolution could survive. It is also my duty, as a patriot, to make this modest financial contribution to the survival of the revolution that is fighting for our full sovereignty,' Mr. Lankoand© stated.

The donor invited all Burkinab¨ citizens to follow suit by supporting the presidential initiative Faso Mªbo, taking their cue from those who have already contributed. The Faso Mªbo initiative aims to strengthen civic engagement around the ideals of sovereignty, solidarity, and endogenous development championed by the current authorities.
