Kombissiri: Provincial authorities in Baz¨ga have launched the "Revolutionary Youth on the March" (JeRM) initiative aimed at empowering youth to embrace their revolutionary commitment and combat imperialism. The initiative was officially launched on Thursday, April 2, 2026, in Kombissiri, marking the first anniversary of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP) declared by President Ibrahim Traore.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch ceremony was overseen by Tene Justine Kientega/Ilboudo, the High Commissioner of Baz¨ga Province. The event, held at Place du 2 Juin, was attended by public administration workers and local residents. Ms. Kientega/Ilboudo emphasized the importance of empowering Burkinab¨ youth to live and work as revolutionaries, leveraging every tool as a revolutionary weapon under the conviction, "Homeland or Death."
The ceremony featured a fun run and an aerobics session and aimed to engage the community in the spirit of the JeRM initiative. The initiative plans to organize several activities in the coming days, such as observing a minute of silence for national martyrs, quarterly days of tributes and revolutionary commitment, educational talks in collaboration with youth movements and the national coordination of citizen watch associations (CNAVC), and public conferences on the patriotic values of Faso.
According to the High Commissioner, the Burkinab¨ youth are eager for freedom and sovereignty, and embracing this initiative is a step toward achieving the revolutionary goals.
