RISA Hosts Conference in Pouni to Mark 5th Anniversary of Captain Ibrahim Traor

Pouni:The Pouni chapter of the Gathering of Intelligences for the Sovereignty of Africa (RISA) organized a public conference themed "Year 5 of Comrade Captain Ibrahim Traor, perspectives" as part of the commemoration of the fifth year of Captain Ibrahim Traor's governance.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event marks the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation. The RISA delegation, which included members from Ouagadougou and Koudougou, began the day by visiting Pouni's royal court, where they received blessings for the authorities and the mission's success.

During the opening ceremony, Adama Yamogo, the local coordinator of the movement, delivered a speech, followed by Nadine Timounou/Badiel, President of the Special Delegation of Pouni. She welcomed participants from the area's twenty-one villages and ten hamlets, representing the regional governor, who was unable to attend. Her address set the stage for fruitful discussions among attendees.

The conference featured two key presentations focused on enhancing public involvement in the Popular Progressive Revolution (PPR). Dr. Boukary Nbi, national secretary general of RISA, led the first discussion, emphasizing the role of the populace in the RPP. He clarified that Captain Ibrahim Traor's leadership emerged from a need to rebuild Burkinabè society, countering criticisms of "excessive militarization" by highlighting both security and development initiatives.

Dr. Nbi cited the completion of infrastructure projects in education, health, roads, and agriculture as evidence of balanced governmental actions aimed at undermining terrorist groups exploiting vulnerabilities.

The second presentation by Adama Siguir, national coordinator of RISA and vice-president of the National Commission of AES, encouraged citizens to intensify efforts in supporting government initiatives and deepening the RPP.

The conference concluded with a call for general mobilization, as RISA aims to continue these patriotic awareness efforts to support authorities and achieve further success by September 2027.
