Rising of the Colors in Morolaba: PDS Calls for Civic-Mindedness and Social Cohesion

Kenedougou: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Morolaba, Germain Mien, presided over the flag-raising ceremony on Monday, October 6, 2025, marking the launch of the second phase of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation. He called on the population to be more civic-minded and socially cohesive.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the "A" school in Morolaba served as the setting for the raising of the colors, marking the launch of the second phase of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation, in the presence of the constituted bodies of the commune.

The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Morolaba, Germain Mien, conveyed to the population the message of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, urging a patriotic surge amid a national context marked by the struggle for the reconquest of the territory.

Mr. Mien appealed to the people of Morolaba to exhibit civic-mindedness, discipline, and responsibility in all areas of community life. He urged everyone to exemplify integrity, rigor, and commitment to the collective well-being.

The PDS also commended the commitment of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and the dozos, who are ensuring the security of the population day and night. He encouraged citizens to maintain open and constant collaboration with these security actors.

Finally, Germain Mien highlighted the importance of forgiveness, tolerance, and social cohesion, which he considers essential pillars for the harmonious development of the commune.
