According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting gathered economic operators, technical and financial partners, local authorities, civil society organizations, and young people from Tuy Province. High Commissioner Issiaka Segda highlighted the aim of the round table was to collaboratively explore sustainable and innovative financing solutions to ensure equitable access to quality sexual and reproductive health services for all.
Dr. Youssouf Ou©draogo, the district's chief physician, noted that the district has seen improvements in maternal and reproductive health indicators. However, challenges remain, including the lack of medical-technical equipment and the need to enhance the skills of health personnel.
The event provided an opportunity to review family planning, maternal and neonatal deaths, and the difficulties faced by health teams. Following the discussions, several commitments were made, including acquiring medical-technical equipment and constructing a listening center for young people to better address their sexual and reproductive health needs.
The High Commissioner expressed gratitude to all those who made commitments and urged everyone to increase their involvement in enhancing the district's health system.
