Ouahigouya: The Burkinabe Patriotic Network Yaadga section (RPB) held a panel to promote civic-mindedness, good citizenship and patriotism especially among young people, on Saturday May 9 in the city of Naba Kango, AIB observed.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the panel was organized under the theme "Responsible citizenship, a patriotic duty: the role of young and old for a prosperous Burkina Faso". The event attracted participants from various age groups and social backgrounds in the Yaadga region. The regional coordinator of the network, Aim© Ouarm©, expressed his satisfaction with the successful completion of the event, emphasizing the importance of addressing the theme which was explored in three phases by the panelists. He highlighted the need to reinforce values like integrity, probity, and honesty, as they have diminished over the years.
During the panel discussion, the panelists - Professor Sadou Ou©draogo, Boukari N©bi©, Ibrahim Ou©draogo, and moderator Abdoulaye Dianda - discussed the RPB's manifesto as a guide to combatting imperialism and its effects on the nation. They urged attendees to follow the recommendations from the sub-themes to engage in the development dynamic initiated in September 2022.
Participants, including Abdel Oumar Dicko, Ramata Sawadogo, and Aristide Gansonr©, expressed their support for the RPB's initiatives and committed to applying the learnings from the conference to enhance civic-mindedness and patriotism in Burkina Faso.
