Ouagadougou:Burkinabe author Salif Zongo presented his latest literary work, "The Decision-Maker's Compass," on Saturday. The book, a 168-page practical guide divided into seven chapters, is designed to assist leaders, managers, and other officials in refining their decision-making processes.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Salif Zongo explained that the book aims to support decision-makers by offering tools for adopting a thoughtful and structured approach in their daily choices.
The book highlights the biases that can influence decisions, urging readers to avoid decisions driven by emotions, anger, or personal preferences, and instead favor a more objective analysis of situations. Furthermore, Zongo discusses the role of artificial intelligence in the decision-making process, stressing that while technology offers new possibilities, humans must remain central to making significant decisions and taking responsibility for their outcomes.
Moussa Zongo, the ceremony's sponsor and president of Business Builder International, praised the book's relevance for African businesses, emphasizing the importance of timely and correct decision-making for organizational growth and sustainability. He remarked, "Deciding is life," noting the impact of leaders' choices on the future of their companies and their stakeholders.
Through "The Decision-Maker's Compass," Salif Zongo aims to equip leaders with a tool to better guide their actions and contribute to a brighter future. The book is expected to be available soon in several bookstores and on the Amazon online platform at a price of 12000 FCFA.
