Sangui©: The written tests for the baccalaureate, session 2026, officially began on Tuesday at the provincial multipurpose high school in R©o and other centers, with 1,928 candidates competing for their first university diploma across the provincial territory.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner of Sangui© Province, Talari Germaine Ouoba, along with her close associates, visited the examination center to open the first envelope containing the exam papers, marking the official start of the examinations. The province has a total of 967 boys and 952 girls registered for this session, as specified by the Provincial Director of Secondary, Vocational, and Technical Education for Sangui©, Rasmata Gr Sce Guingan©.
Issaka Sindi Zagr©, the President of the Special Delegation of the commune of R©o, encouraged the candidates to remain focused and demonstrate the knowledge acquired during the school year. He emphasized the importance of seriousness, focus, and honesty in pursuing their first university degree.
The High Commissioner echoed this sentiment, urging the candidates to tackle the exams with confidence and determination, reassuring them that their efforts, as well as those of their teachers and parents, would be rewarded. She also praised the dedication of all stakeholders in the province’s education system and called on jury members and staff to ensure a smooth and transparent examination process.
A key message delivered during the opening was the fight against fraud. The Provincial Director of Secondary Education highlighted the need for personal effort and integrity among candidates, reminding them that honesty and hard work are essential virtues.
Among the candidates, concentration was crucial. Bagoro Paul Marie, one of the candidates, expressed a mix of stress and readiness, hoping that facing the first challenge would alleviate tension.
Through this visit, the province’s administrative and educational authorities reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the candidates’ success while promoting values of merit, discipline, and excellence.
