Sangui© Baccalaureate 2026: Over 1900 Candidates Begin Written Exams


Sangui©: The written tests for the baccalaureate, session 2026, officially began on Tuesday at the provincial multipurpose high school in R©o and other composition centers, involving a total of 1928 candidates across the provincial territory who are vying for their first university diploma.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner of Sangui© Province, Talari Germaine Ouoba, along with her associates, visited the examination center to open the first envelope containing the exam papers, marking the official commencement of the examinations. The province has 1,928 registered candidates, comprising 967 boys and 952 girls, as specified by the Provincial Director of Secondary, Vocational, and Technical Education for Sangui©, Rasmata Gr Sce Guingan©.



The President of the Special Delegation of the commune of R©o, Issaka Sindi Zagr©, encouraged the candidates to focus and demonstrate the knowledge acquired during the school year. He advised candidates to take the examinations seriously and avoid fraudulent activities. The High Commissioner echoed this sentiment, urging candidates to approach the exams with confidence and determination, assuring them that their efforts, as well as those of their teachers and parents, would be rewarded.



Commending the dedication of all stakeholders in the education system, the High Commissioner called for a smooth and transparent examination process, urging jury members and staff to uphold these standards. The Provincial Director of Secondary Education highlighted the importance of personal effort and integrity, emphasizing that true Burkinab¨ are honest and hardworking.



Candidates expressed a mix of stress and preparation. Bagoro Paul Marie, one of the candidates, admitted to feeling a little stressed but prepared for the examinations. The visit by administrative and educational authorities underscored their commitment to supporting candidates and promoting merit, discipline, and excellence.
