Sapon© Municipality Holds Accountability Day to Highlight Management from 2022 to 2025

Sapon©: The special delegation of the municipality of Sapon© organized an accountability day to report on its management. This activity, held in the presence of the provincial authorities of Baz¨ga and key stakeholders of the municipality, is part of the framework for good local governance.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the special delegation of the municipality of Sapon© reported on its management during the accountability day held in the town hall's reception hall. The event was attended by the High Commissioner of the Baz¨ga province, Ten© Justine Kientega/Ilboudo, Kassoum Tarnagda representing the Director General of Decentralization and Local Development who moderated the ceremony, community leaders, and the population of Sapon© who turned out in large numbers for the occasion.

The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Sapon© municipality, K´ti No«l Sanou, presented a summary of the actions undertaken by the special delegation since 2022. These actions spanned various sectors including education, health, water, sanitation, land-use planning, local economic development, and governance strengthening.

Participants expressed their views and deemed the assessment positive. The meeting also served as a platform for participants to provide advice and suggestions for the future development of the municipality.

Kassoum Tarnagda, representing the Director General of Decentralization and Local Development and moderator of the accountability day, proposed the establishment of a committee to implement and monitor the recommendations.

This first edition of the Sapon© municipality's accountability day enabled the residents of Sapon© and local stakeholders to learn about the undertaken actions, exchange ideas, and assess the municipal management.
