Sapouy Revises Municipal Budget Upwards in Third Ordinary Session

Sapouy:The municipality of Sapouy convened its third ordinary session on September 29 and 30, 2026, led by OurobDioma, President of the Special Delegation. The agenda included discussions on the municipal budget, land and property management, and local regulations.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the session resulted in the adoption of the second amended budget for the 2026 fiscal year. This upward revision was driven by favorable revenue indicators that exceeded initial projections.

Efforts in resource mobilization have been credited for these results, with Mayor OurobDioma expressing a commitment to continue this progress to enhance the municipality's ability to address the population's needs.

Land and property management were also key topics, with draft agreements with real estate companies being reviewed and new directions in real estate development and state land management discussed. The Nando Regional Directorate for Construction provided clarifications on the updated regulations governing the sector.

Further discussions addressed the issue of unfinished housing developments in sectors 4, 3, and 2 of Sapouy, with input from the relevant design office.

Additionally, the session adopted resolutions concerning the costs for the maintenance and care of animals in the pound, showcasing the special delegation's dedication to strengthening local governance and municipal management.

The session provided an opportunity to explore various issues related to the municipality's development and operations, aiming to improve resource mobilization and the management of land and property for the benefit of the local population.
