Ouagadougou: Tourism sector stakeholders in the municipality of Sapouy took part on Wednesday, July 16, in a capacity-building session dedicated to improving the quality of tourism services. Held at the former town hall of Sapouy, this initiative focused on two essential pillars of local tourism development: visitor reception and hygiene in restaurants and guesthouses.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session was led by the provincial director in charge of Communication, Tourism, and Culture for the Ziro province. He emphasized that the quality of the welcome is the first point of contact between a visitor and their destination, while adherence to hygiene standards remains a determining factor in customer satisfaction and loyalty.
During the discussions, participants were made aware of good practices in terms of reception, customer service, cleanliness of establishments, and respect for hygiene rules, all essential elements to offer services that meet the requirements of tourists. This activity aims to further professionalize tourism stakeholders, improve the quality of services offered in the municipality, and enhance Sapouy's appeal to tourists.
It is part of a broader effort to promote the tourism potential of Ziro province through services that meet quality standards.
