Savadogo Oumarou and Traore Moussa Appointed as New Principals in Kouka and Diontala High Schools

Ouagadougou: The reins of the Kouka Departmental High School and the Diontala High School have been entrusted respectively to Savadogo Oumarou and Traore Moussa, marking a new chapter in the leadership of these educational institutions. The official handover ceremony was presided over by Raymond Ilboudo, president of the special delegation of the Kouka municipality.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event, held on February 6 in Kouka, was attended by Sibada dit Sianta Youmou, the provincial director of secondary education, vocational and technical training of Banwa, along with heads of municipal services, customary and religious authorities, education partners, and a multitude of colleagues and friends who gathered to support the newly appointed headmasters.

The ceremony began with the first handover at Diontala High School, where Moussa Traore assumed the principal's position, succeeding Ibrahima Sore, who has been reassigned to other duties. This was followed by the handover at Kouka Departmental High School, where Oumarou Savadogo took over from Mr. Oumarou Tao, who also moved on to new responsibilities.

During the ceremony, both the president of the special delegation of the commune and the provincial director of secondary, vocational, and technical education in Banwa congratulated the new principals. They urged the principals to maintain the ongoing momentum, show rigor, and effectively collaborate with all stakeholders in education to consolidate achievements and meet future challenges.

In their remarks, the newly appointed headteachers expressed gratitude to the highest education authorities for their trust. They acknowledged the weight of their responsibilities and called for collective efforts in a spirit of cohesion, discipline, and loyalty, which they emphasized as essential for performance and collective success.

PDS Raymond Ilboudo also took the opportunity to thank the outgoing principals for their dedicated service, acknowledging their commitment, sense of duty, and responsibility, which played a crucial role in achieving the objectives set for the schools, often under challenging circumstances.
