SDF of Liptako Honors Predecessors with Food Donation


Seno: The Defence and Security Forces (FDS) of the Liptako region paid tribute to their predecessors on Monday at the Liptako camp in Dori as part of the commemorative activities of the 65th anniversary of the National Armed Forces (FAN). They offered food and financial envelopes to veterans and the widows of soldiers who fell for the country. This initiative aims to express the army’s gratitude to those who have dedicated their lives to the defense of the country.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Captain Thomas Dakin Ilboudo, the commander of the Regional Training Center of the 4th Military Region, stated that this donation is part of the commemoration of the FAN’s 65th anniversary. The food provided consists mainly of 50 kg bags of rice accompanied by sums of money intended to support the beneficiaries. The donations are specifically intended for veterans and widows of soldiers from the 41st Commando Infantry Regiment (RIC) in Dori and the 42nd RIC in Gorom-Gorom.



Captain Ilboudo emphasized that this fraternal gesture reflects the solidarity and continuity of the bond between the generations of soldiers. Representing the commander of the 4th military region, Commander Fay§al Ilboudo praised the bravery and dedication of the veterans who continue, through their advice and experience, to accompany the SDF in their missions. He reiterated the army’s commitment to stand by widows, orphans, and the war-wounded, assuring that the military institution remains ready to meet their needs as much as possible.



On behalf of the beneficiaries, Sibiri Kabore expressed deep gratitude to the FDS of Liptako for this mark of attention and solidarity. He praised the courage and sacrifice of the Burkinabe soldiers engaged on the fronts and expressed wishes for a rapid return of peace and security to Burkina Faso. Through this gesture, the SDF of Liptako demonstrate that the memory of the predecessors and fallen soldiers remains alive within the army.
