Sebba: The Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of Sebba organized on Sunday, March 15, a collective prayer session which ended with a 'dua' (invocations to Allah) for peace in Burkina Faso, AIB observed on site.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the town of Sebba resonated on the evening of Sunday, March 15, 2026, with a prayer dedicated to peace and stability in Burkina Faso. This collective prayer, initiated by the security forces and the volunteers of Sebba, took place in the customs courtyard and drew a large crowd of worshippers, religious leaders, local authorities, youth leaders, and members of the community watch.
At the organizers' call, imams from all the city's mosques answered the call, along with other religious leaders. In an atmosphere of solemnity and solidarity, each imam spoke, imploring divine blessings for peace, security, and the return of stability to the country. Prayers were also offered for the protection of the fighting forces deployed in the field.
This spiritual gathering was hailed by Bako Bali, second vice-president of the Sebba special delegation and spokesperson for the participants, as a moment of communion and hope for the nation. The organizers expressed their gratitude to all the religious leaders and the population for their strong turnout, emphasizing that the union of prayers and actions remains essential to support efforts to restore peace in Burkina Faso.
The initiative brought together several religious leaders and many worshippers in the courtyard of the city's customs house.
