Bal©: Actors in the world of secondary education donated 11 tons of cement and several other construction materials worth approximately 2 million CFA francs to the Faso Mªbo agency on Thursday, May 7, 2026. The purchase order for the materials was presented to the High Commissioner of the province, Martin Bako, by a delegation of donors led by the provincial director.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the equipment handed over to the Faso Mªbo agency includes 11 tonnes and 15 bags of cement, 100 pairs of gloves, 10 trowels, 10 pickaxes, 10 shovels, and 10 heavier star wheelbarrows with a net value of 1,700,500 FCFA. The donation was acquired thanks to a call for voluntary contributions launched to the administrative staff, teachers, and students of the department, in response to the citizen participation initiative in the construction of cities and countryside by the head of state, Captain Ibrahim Traor©.
The fundraising campaign in secondary schools, training centers, and within the internal services of the provincial directorate lasted a month. It was successful in terms of the amount raised and the acquisition it enabled. The success of this civic contribution from actors in the world of education reflects their adherence to the ideals of the popular progressive revolution and testifies to their patriotic commitment to serve their country and support the concrete endogenous development actions carried out by the highest authorities, said Soulama K©l©ltigui, the provincial director in charge of secondary education, vocational and technical training in Bal©.
After receiving the donation, the province's High Commissioner, Martin Bako, congratulated the donors while praising their high sense of patriotism in supporting the Faso Mªbo agency by donating cement and important work tools for carrying out tasks on the construction sites. "May your contribution inspire other departments and directorates in our province," the official stated.
The delegation for the handover consisted of staff from the provincial directorate's internal services, representatives of the teaching staff, the school council, and education union representatives, all gathered around the provincial director. The delegation was received by the High Commissioner, accompanied by the provincial secretary general.
