Security and political challenges: the United Nations renews its solidarity in Burkina Faso

The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, received in audience, late Thursday morning, the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations and Head of the United Nations Office for South Africa. the West and the Sahel, Leonardo Santos SIMAO.

At the end of the audience, the UN envoy said he had come to reaffirm "the availability of the United Nations and all its agencies and institutions to help the country overcome the difficulties and challenges of the moment", both in terms of economic, political and social.

The United Nations therefore intends to provide support to Burkina Faso, which is currently facing significant challenges. And according to the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations, it is a question of doing better to accompany Burkina Faso to get out of the current situation.

This audience was also an opportunity for the United Nations envoy Leonardo Santos SIMAO to thank the President of the Transition for the support he gave to his candidacy for the post of Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations.
