Seno: 8.21 Billion Mobilized by Partners for Implementation of 553 Activities in 2025 in Liptako

Dori: The Regional Directorate of Economy and Planning (DREP) of Liptako announced on Thursday in Dori that Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Development Associations (DAs), and foundations mobilized 8.21 billion FCFA in 2025 for the implementation of 553 activities for the benefit of the population.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the 2025 performance report presented by the regional director, Hanouna Kabore, indicated that the partners carried out 553 activities out of a forecast of 625, representing an achievement rate of 88.5%. This performance was considered satisfactory given the regional context marked by persistent security and humanitarian challenges.

Financially, the interventions were initially estimated at 9.35 billion FCFA. In the end, the partners actually mobilized 8.21 billion FCFA, corresponding to a budget execution rate of 87.8%. These investments have covered several priority sectors, contributing to the improvement of living conditions for the population.

For 2026, the DREP plans to implement 375 activities with a total budget of 5.69 billion FCFA. This program is structured around three main areas: emergency interventions, resilience actions, and structuring projects, with the aim of effectively meeting the needs of communities.

The Secretary General of the Liptako region, Auguste Kinda, welcomed the constant commitment of technical and financial partners, which he considers an essential lever to strengthen the resilience of the populations. He also expressed his appreciation to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), whose efforts contribute to improving the conditions for implementing development actions.

Despite a difficult context, the results recorded in 2025 reflect the strong mobilization of partners alongside the State. The outlook for 2026 suggests that efforts will continue to promote development and stability in the Sahel region.
