Servants of Kerga Village Distribute Essential Supplies to Vulnerable Locals

Yatenga/barga: The Prefect, President of the Special Delegation of Barga, Augustin Ilboudo, presided on Sunday, March 15, over the ceremony for the distribution of food and hygiene supplies to vulnerable people in the village of Kerga, a town attached to the commune of Barga, AIB observed.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation, valued at an estimated 1,169,000 FCFA, consists of 115 bags of rice and soap. This initiative was organized by the village officials of Kerga to support their relatives, particularly the vulnerable, during the Muslim fasting period. Augustin Ilboudo, president of the special delegation of the Barga commune, emphasized the critical timing and importance of the donation, highlighting that the primary beneficiaries are elderly individuals and people with disabilities.

Ilboudo expressed pride in delivering the aid to these community members during challenging times and extended gratitude to the benefactors, who are village employees. He encouraged others to emulate the donors' goodwill.

Abdoulaye Ouedraogo, spokesperson for the donors, described the event as a result of collective efforts by Kerga village officials to offer relief to those in need. He expressed a commitment to continuing support for the village's residents and encouraged others to join in expanding solidarity within the village and community.

Beneficiaries expressed happiness and gratitude, praising the donors for their timely assistance.
