Several Activities Mark the Inaugural Servants of the People Day in Solenzo

Solenzo: Servants of the people from public, private, and informal sectors came together for the inaugural Servants of the People Day on April 10 and 11, 2026, in Solenzo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, initiated by the High Commissioner of Banwa province, Sanfienale Joseph Sirima, the 48 Hours of the Days of Servants of the People, under the theme "serving with patriotism and responsibility for a refounded administration at the service of the people of Banwa," commenced with a popular cross-country race, followed by an aerobics session on Friday, April 10, 2026.

The day's events began at 6 a.m. with a gathering in front of the Solenzo prefecture for a 2 km cross-country race. Following the race, participants engaged in a panel discussion on civil service topics and state reform, led by Sibiri Sawadogo, the special envoy of the Minister of Public Servants.

The conference, presided over by High Commissioner Sanfienale Joseph Sirima, attracted attendees from various cities. Sawadogo discussed the need for reform, the legacy of the Democratic and Popular Revolution (RDP), the dynamics of reform under the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP), and the challenges facing Burkinab¨ public administration reform.

Alidou Ouedraogo, Regional Director of the Servants of the People of Bankui and Sourou, informed participants about the public service code of ethics and professional conduct, aiming for a high-performing administration.

The day concluded with a blood donation drive by the national blood transfusion center in Bobo-Dioulasso, resulting in 99 bags of blood collected from 138 donors. Additionally, an administrative clinic provided users with insights into the operations of the High Commission, prefecture, and other services in Solenzo.

The event also featured recreational activities, fostering camaraderie among departments, where participants showcased their skills in checkers, petanque, and lido.
